Emergency Medicine

This scenario library has been created with funding and support of the NHS Health Education England - Thames Valley (HEE TV), which supports a number of simulation fellowship projects every year.

This project led to the design and creation of this training resource, consisting of 16 simulation scenarios, split into two main categories; ‘Clinical’ and ‘Human Factors’ scenarios.

  • The ‘Clinical’ category includes ten simulation scenarios from other specialties. Whilst these are mapped to the original specialty’s curriculum, they remain a relevant educational resource to EM trainees.
  • The ‘Human Factors’ category includes six simulation scenarios focused on challenging experiences trainees may encounter in the ED . Each scenario is mapped to the 2010 Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) curriculum.
