2019-20 Foundation F2 Locum Vacancies

Oxford Foundation School has a number of one-year fixed term FY2 LAT vacancies commencing on 7 August 2019. These jobs will be F2 Locum Appointments for Training (LAT) with a 12 month fixed-term contract and are recognised training programmes. Appointees will be part of the Foundation School and have access to all educational resources including the Foundation Programme e-portfolio. However, there will be no access to remedial training if the applicant does not attain the relevant level of competence at the end of the fixed term contract.

Applicants for these posts must hold a medical degree from an institution recognised by the GMC. They must have full GMC registration and a licence to practise. They should be able to demonstrate evidence of ability to undertake the core clinical and generic skills required of all doctors at the end of F1, as documented in the FP Curriculum. Applicants must be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate in English in a clinical environment.

2. If an applicant has been released or removed from foundation training, the Reapplication to foundation training form signed by the foundation school director of the foundation school where previous training took place, will be required.

Non-UK/EEA applicants should ensure they are aware of the immigration rules for Postgraduate Doctors/Dentists in training and have the necessary Right To Work documents to start work on 7 August 2019 with no restrictions on their training. Successful applicants will be required to complete all pre-employment checks (e.g. provide satisfactory references, undergo criminal record checks) before a contract of employment will be issued.

The placements will be located at one of the five acute trusts or a community specialty within Health Education England Thames Valley. The five acute Trusts are:



All interviews for F2 stand-alone posts will be held at the central location in Birmingham and coordinated by the UK Foundation Programme Office. This is to ensure consistency in approach to the interview panels and enable to use of digital scoring.

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 March 2019.
