General Information

The Hospital

Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust were brought together to create Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust on 1 October 2014.

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust provides NHS hospital services for around 900,000 people across Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and south Buckinghamshire.

They have three main hospitals - Frimley Park in Frimley near Camberley, Heatherwood in Ascot and Wexham Park near Slough. The Foundation posts are at Wexham Park. They also run outpatient clinics and diagnostic services from Aldershot, Farnham, Fleet, Windsor, Maidenhead, Bracknell and Chalfont St Peter

The Trust employs over 8,500 permanent staff delivering quality healthcare 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Foundation Posts

The Foundation Programme is supported by a Programme Foundation Director, the Director of Medical Education, an Associate Tutor and an FP administrator.

As of August 2016 we have 26 Year 1 posts and 44 Year 2 posts.

Dedicated Foundation teaching is held weekly, in addition to monthly mandatory academic half days, grand rounds and departmental teaching.

Postgraduate Centre & Clinical Skills Centre & Clinical Simulation

The John Lister Postgraduate Centre, Wexham Park Hospital organises and hosts externally accredited courses in addition to medical, dental, and multi-disciplinary teaching organised in-house.

We also have an accredited Clinical Skills Centre which is developing clinical skills simulation training as part of the Foundation Programme teaching.
