Public Health Careers for the 21st Century Conference

Are you interested in pursuing or developing a career in Public Health?

The Public Health Careers for the 21st Century is taking place on Tuesday 20th September 2011 at The Examinations Schools in Oxford. This is due to the new changes announced by the UK government and also due to the scale of challenges facing public health that need new and innovative ways of working.

The conference aims to bring together experts to discuss what the future of public health careers will look like both in the UK and internationally, what opportunities there are in public health in the new world, what the challenges are and how to best prepare for these careers.

This is a one off opportunity to:

  • Hear national leaders in Public Health
  • Network with Public Health professionals
  • Feed ideas into the Public Health workforce strategy
  • Join interactive workshops
  • Contribute your own ideas and ask questions

The conference is being organised by the Oxford School of Public Health, Faculty of Public Health and Solutions for Public Health with support from the Department of Health, South Central SHA, Oxford Deanery and The University of Oxford.

Registration is £50 and includes lunch and refreshments. To book your place and for more information please visit: http://www.publichealth.ox.ac.uk/ or contact Hannah Musson on hannah.musson@oxfordshirepct.nhs.uk / 01865 289426. Alternatively download a flyer about the event.
